Neurotoxins & Fillers in Boynton Beach, FL

An injection of one of several forms of botulinum toxin to treat wrinkles. This includes Botox, Dysport and Xeomin.

What Is a Neurotoxin?

Neurotoxins are drugs doctors have been using for years to treat dynamic facial wrinkles. Xeomin, Dysport and Botox are brand names of a toxins made with the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum.

How Do Botox, Dysport and Xeomin work?

These products block signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can’t contract. That makes wrinkles relax and soften. Neurotoxin is most often used on forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines. It won’t help with wrinkles caused by sun damage or gravity, because this treatment is used for dynamic (caused by movement) wrinkles.

It generally takes 7 to 14 days to take full effect.

What are RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+)?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are dermal fillers that are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands and other parts of the body.

Collagen is the main structural protein in our skin–it’s what helps it feel and look tight, taught, and youthful. As we age, the production of collagen slows down, causing skin to sag.
